Classical pianist Yanzhima Tsybikova is known for her lyricism, sensitivity, and wide range of expression. Her interpretations are well-thought-out yet deeply emotional. She has appeared at many international concert halls and festivals as a soloist, chamber, and vocal collaborator. Her vast and growing repertoire ranges from the Baroque period to the present day with an emphasis on Romantic, Impressionistic, and nationally-inspired music.

Ms. Tsybikova is a prizewinner of numerous all-Russian and international piano competitions. In 2017 she received 2nd Prize in the International Piano Competition “Citta di Spoletto” in Spoleto, Italy. She was named the 2nd prize winner and was awarded Arcadi Volodos prize in the International Piano Competition “Gran Klavier” in Madrid, Spain. Ms. Tsybikova took part in the 7th International Piano Festival in Ruza, Russia. She won Grand Prize in the International Competition of Art in Samara, Russia, and 2nd Prize in the 10th International Competition “Romanticism: its Origins and Beyond” in Moscow, Russia. 

In 2018, she was invited by the House of Music in Saint Petersburg to be a part of the festival “The River of Talents”. In 2020 she received 3rd Prize in the Putra International Piano Competition and 3rd Prize in the 6th International Competition of Musicians in Cyprus. In 2021 Ms. Tsybikova was awarded 1st Prize at Triumph Music Festival in Philadelphia, USA. Later that year she became the winner of the Pennsylvania MTNA-Steinway Young Artist Piano Competition. Ms. Tsybikova was featured as a soloist with WCU Symphony Orchestra.

Ms. Tsybikova has performed throughout Russia, Europe, and the United States in such halls as the Kimmel Center, the Academy of Music in Philadelphia; the Great Hall of the Russian Gnesins Academy of Music in Moscow; Tomsk Philharmonic Hall; the Concert Hall of Alcala de Henares Conservatory in Madrid; the Great Hall of Novosibirsk Conservatory; the Concert Hall of East Siberian State Institute of Culture, Ulan-Ude; the Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall, West Chester University.

Ms. Tsybikova has participated in international masterclasses led by such renowned musicians as Alexandr Maikapar (Russia), Maria Gambarian (Russia), Alexandr Mndoyants (Russia), Serguei Milshtein (Switzerland), Alan Chow (USA), Giampaolo Nuti (Italy), Vladimir Tropp (Russia), and Sergei Senkov (Russia). 

Ms. Tsybikova graduated from Novosibirsk Specialized Music School (college) under the tutelage of Professor Irina Berman. She received a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Piano Performance at the prestigious Russian Gnesins Academy of Music in Moscow where she studied with Professor Sofia Ruchimskaya. Ms. Tsybikova earned a master’s degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy at West Chester University of Pennsylvania studying with Dr. Igor Resnianski. Currently, she is pursuing a DMA in Piano Performance at Temple University studying with Dr. Sara Davis Buechner and Lambert Orkis.
